Two story public recreational community center featuring fitness facilities, day spa, two pools, climbing tower, office facilities, child care and gathering areas. At over 12,000 square feet, this rec center sits atop a hillside in the north Phoenix area in Arizona.

Architectural details include steel fins extending from the glue-lam beams allowing the roof to “float” above the structure. Slate, glass and rich wood with horizontal detailing provide the backdrop for “lifestyle” images marketing the community. A steel and concrete stair artistically hovers in the tall atrium space adjacent to the climbing tower. The two story recreation center sits into the hillside to maintain a low desert appearance.
